Does IAIT have BEZ server for students? If not, how are Blackberrys supported across campus for mail etc.?
IAIT does manage a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) for Institute-owned BlackBerry devices. The BES is licensed for 30 devices, the number owned and deployed by Rose-Hulman for use by specific employees. There are no licenses available for other employees or students. The Institute's Microsoft Exchange Messaging solution provides access to Microsoft Windows Mobile devices with the current licensing. If you already have a BlackBerry device and want to use it for email you may be able to configure your vendor's email to check your Rose-Hulman email account or by forwarding your Rose-Hulman email to the vendor-provided email account (assuming you have one). Information for configuring email clients is available at http://www.rose-hulman.edu/TSC/services/email/ and http://www.rose-hulman.edu/TSC/services/unsupported/. There's nothing specifically for BlackBerrys because they're either supported via the BES or via the service provider.
