How do I send 'Message Headers' from Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007?
Method 1: Headers Only
- In the main Outlook window, right click on the message you would like to send headers for
- Click Message Options or for Outlook 2003, select Options
- Select and copy the information from the Internet Headers section
- Close the window
- Compose a new message to helpdesk@rose-hulman.edu and paste the message headers in the body of the email
- Indicate in the email the reason for sending the headers (e.g. this is for a SPAM message you frequently receive or this is a message this is marked incorrectly as SPAM)
Method 2: Entire Email
- In the main Outlook window, click Tools > Options
- On the preferences tab, click Email Options
- In the On replies and forwards section, change When fowarding a message to Attach original message
- Press OK twice
- Select the message in question, then press Forward
- Send the message to helpdesk@rose-hulman.edu
- Indicate in the email the reason for sending the headers (e.g. this is for a SPAM message you frequently receive or this is a message this is marked incorrectly as SPAM)
