<![CDATA[<p>How do I check to see if my machine is getting an IP address?</p><p><P>In Windows XP:<BR></P>
<UL>
<LI>Click on the <B><TT>Start</TT></B> button, then on <B><TT>Run.</TT></B></LI>
<LI>Type <TT><B>cmd</B></TT> in the box and click <B><TT>Ok.</TT></B></LI>
<LI>At the command prompt type <TT><B>ipconfig /all</B></TT> (be sure to have the space between the ipconfig and the slash).</LI>
<LI>Your IP address will be displayed as the 5th entry under the <B><TT>Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection</TT></B> section.</LI></UL>
