Why use an AFS group?
AFS groups are useful in many situations, including (but not limited to) the maintenance of web pages for a campus organization and common directories for project teams. For example, a campus club or group could use its AFS directory (\\afs\rose-hulman.edu\users\groups\MyGroup) to store the club's web pages or hold any club documents that need to be shared among members. An AFS group named MyGroup, which has full access to this directory, contains the members of the club that are allowed to modify the web pages. When a new member needs access, only the group will need to be modified.
