What are the default file directories for the AFS Client for Windows?
All these directories should be available in the "My Network Places" folder on student and faculty laptops.
[AFS] Root
This is the root directory of the AFS file system tree. Everything available on AFS can be found here. The default path is \\afs\.
[AFS] Home
This is your own personal space on AFS. All students have 200 MB of storage space available to them. The [AFS] Home directory can be used for backing up files, sharing data with others in a project group, and transferring files from one machine to another. This space is also where you place your personal web page. A folder titled HTML should already be setup for this purpose in your directory. The default path is \\afs\rose-hulman.edu\users\stu####\username\ for students and \\afs\rose-hulman.edu\users\faculty\username\ for faculty and administrative staff.
[AFS] Class
This directory is where departmental data is located. Each department is responsible for the organization of their space. The default path is \\afs\rose-hulman.edu\class\. For administrative staff, this drive is mapped to \\afs\rose-hulman.edu\users\faculty\.
[AFS] Users
This directory contains the home directories of all users on the Rose-Hulman network. The folders are organized by graduation year, aside from faculty. Select the appropriate class, then select the username of the person whose folder you wish to see. The default path is \\afs\rose-hulman.edu\users\.
