There isn't an account or password that is specifically for webCafé. Faculty, students and teaching staff use their Wharton computing accounts for logging in to webCafé.
Here are some resources for Wharton account assistance:
- Faculty and staff may contact the computing support representative for their academic or administrative department.
- Web-based password reset is available through the Wharton Password Tools page, provided you had previously set up your password questions (also known as Wharton Challenge-Response), you may reset your password using the link above.
- NOTE: At this time, password reset functions work only in Internet Explorer and Firefox, not Chrome or Safari. You must have Flash Player installed.
- Student users who did not set up password questions, or who were unable to reset their password online, will need to contact our Wharton Computing Student Support office, F35 Jon M. Huntsman Hall. In this situation, whenever possible please go to Student Support in person with your PennCard. The office is open on University business days; hours are posted on the Support web site. Part-time students and others who cannot come to campus, contact Consulting by phone at 215-898-8600 during the posted office hours.
Due to security concerns, it is not possible to get Wharton account password resets by e-mail.
- EMTM students may also contact the EMTM office for Wharton account support.
- If you are not a current Wharton student or faculty member, your account may indeed have been deactivated or deleted if you are no longer taking or teaching a Wharton class. Staff access to webCafé is generally available only to those involved in support of teaching Wharton courses, as well as to staff who are also current students. Access by alumni is not available unless you are also a current student or fit the "staff access" criterion mentioned above.
- Global Consulting Practicum partner school faculty and students should contact the GCP office for help with usernames and passwords.
Unfortunately it's not possible to get password help by e-mailing the webCafé team. This is because our team is not provided with Wharton account support tools, and also because no one can look up or see your password (not even IT staff - this is for security reasons). Please use the list above to determine where to get password help. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
