My download of a file seems to be "stuck" at a certain percentage less than 100%. What can I do to work around this?
When the eRoom plug-in's "Transferring file..." pop-up window appears to freeze at a high percentage, it means there is content in the file causing a "stuck" state in the plug-in. It's not related to your browser, but rather a problem on the server trying to send certain content (usually withing Word or PowerPoint files) to your plug-in.
To work around this, you can stop the "stuck" plug-in and then bypass the plug-in to download the file.
- To stop a "stuck" plug-in download, right-click on the Windows taskbar and choose "Task Manager." Select the Processes tab and highlight ERClient7.exe, then click the End Process button. Don't worry about the Task Manager Warning that may pop up - it's safe to dismiss that dialog by answering Yes.
- In some cases stopping the download will immediately pop up a window where you can choose to save the file. If this does not happen automatically, In the left-side map, locate the file expanding a calendar event or other container if necessary, in the left-hand tree. Then choose "Save Target As..." (or "Save Link As...") and select the directory into which you want to download. Press Save, and the file will be downloaded.
