Can the plug-in software synchronize webCafé calendars with Outlook?
Certain events in a webCafé calendar can be synchronized with personal Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 calendars. To use this capability, it is necessary to access webCafé using the eRoom plug-in; this means that you cannot synchronize webCafé with Outlook in any of our computing labs. Also, not all calendars will synchronize events into Outlook, just those containing events that have you listed as a participant. To see whether a calendar is likely to synchronize, see if its events show up when you use the calendar's mine and "view as a list" buttons, as described in the "to show just your events" section of the eRoom online help. To set up synchronization, first make sure you have the plug-in installed and active (see our tutorial for tips). Then you can use the "add items for synchronizing" instructions from the eRoom online help. If no Add button is available in your eRoom Monitor (plug-in control panel), it's possible that you did not "trust" webCafé after installing your plug-in.
