Can I send reminders of Calendar events by email to students or team members?
A quick way to manually send out a reminder about any eRoom item, including a calendar event, is to use the alert (paper airplane) button. This will allow you to select recipients and then write a brief message to them that will be sent by email. The starter "template" for the message includes a link to the eRoom item in question.
A true automated reminder is possible if you create calendar events that include the students or team members as "event participants." Whenever such events are one or two days away, a section entitled "Upcoming Events" will be added to the nightly eRoom Report notification email sent to those listed event participants. If you see an "Upcoming Events" section in your nightly notification from a webCafé room, it will recap today's and tomorrow's events in which you are listed as a participant across all calendars in the room.
