How can I make webCafé accessible directly through Office or Windows as described in the online help?
There is a way to access the files and folders within a webCafé room directly through Microsoft Office or Windows. This is variously known as Web Folders, WebDAV, or Network Places ("Add a network place").
We've found that this feature may be hard to set up for some versions of Windows (due to problems in Windows, rather than in webCafé). In particular, it is not currently possible with Windows Vista's "Set up connection..." to make a WebDAV connection to webCafé. Also, neither our home page (http://webcafe.wharton.upenn.edu) nor My eRooms can be set up as Network Places. However, under earlier versions of Windows you may be able to connect to individual webCafé rooms, folders or calendar events. The eRoom online help describes this:

Once you get the Network Place (also known as a Web Folder) successfully created for an eRoom, you can either open and save directly from an Office application, or you can use the simplified "files/folders only" view provided directly from the Network Place (which, once set up, appears under "My Network Places" on your computers). Drag and drop of folders from webCafé to your computer is possible via the Network Place.
If you are having problems with Network Places/Web Folders, the third-party WebDrive software can also connect to a webCafé room, folder, or other container (such as calendar events, Notes or database rows) via the WebDAV protocol.
