Why is webCafé sending me HTML email messages? I can't read them, or they appear blank.
By default, webCafé's nightly email summaries (notifications) are sent in HTML format. If you are getting "blank" nightly email summaries from webCafé, or if you do not like the format of the summaries, it is possible to change to a plain-text format. Here's how:
- Right-click on any item in a webCafé room and select Notification from the pop-up menu. (Or you can check off any folder's checkbox and then click the notification toolbar button. To expose checkboxes if they are not shown, click the commands button.)
- Near the bottom of the "Notification" options screen that comes up, you'll see a checkbox next to the line "Send my notification emails in HTML format." You can either:
- Uncheck this checkbox to change to a plain-text format (best if you cannot receive HTML emails or are getting a blank message);
- Check this checkbox to use the new HTML format (this is usually the best choice for Outlook and webmail users).
- Press the OK button to save the setting.
This setting will change the way notifications are sent for all of your webCafé rooms. The new setting will work the next time notifications are sent. There is no way to resend any previously sent notifications in a different format. (Tutorial)
