When downloading a large number of files at once, I encountered a "...directory could not be found" error message. Can I work around this?
The "directory could not be found" error message can appear when you try to download a large amount of files and folders at once using copy-and-paste or drag-and-drop in conjunction with the eRoom plug-in software. The eRoom plug-in has a built-in limit on how much you can download at once; if you've selected files which together comprise a larger size than this limit, the error message will appear. You can increase this limit as follows: Now try your download again. We don't recommend increasing this File Cache Limit to a huge amount right away, as doing so can slow down the download process; that said, if you run into the error you can keep increasing it. As a suggestion, increase the value by 25 each time you need to. Also keep in mind how much disk space you have on your computer when choosing a larger value. If there is a webCafé room with large files you need to download, consider using checkboxes to select just certain files or folders you need, and then copy (within webCafé) and Paste (on your computer) the files and folders. This will help you do a more targeted multiple-file download that should stay within the practical limitation of how much you can download at once with this software. Our plug-in tutorial illustrates how to copy and paste multiple files.
