<![CDATA[<p>Why can't I access the <STRONG>web</STRONG><EM>Café</EM> room for a club I'm interested in or am a member of?</p><p><span id="bodyfont" style="font-family:Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"><p>The <strong>web</strong><em>Café</em></span> rooms for clubs are primarily for students in our full-time MBA or undergraduate programs, and most club rooms are members-only. These rooms are likely to have more of a planning/administrative focus, rather than offering content that would be of interest to the general community.</p>
<p>Penn students not otherwise taking Wharton classes are not eligible for membership in a Wharton club's <strong>web</strong><em>Café</em></span> room. Alumni access is not possible for any type of <strong>web</strong><em>Café</em></span> room, including those for student clubs. </p>
<p>Clubs themselves, not the <strong>web</strong><em>Café</em></span> Team, manage their room member lists and provide student access to club rooms. There is no automated data source of Wharton Council club memberships. For WGA clubs, the new information system <a href="http://media.www.whartonjournal.com/media/storage/paper201/news/2008/02/18/News/Is.Directors.Seek.To.Modernize.The.Wga-3217840.shtml">announced in the Wharton Journal</a> has not been completed and thus cannot currently update <strong>web</strong><em>Café</em></span> rooms. </p>
<p><font size="2">Someone associated with each club will need to add you to the members list of a club's <strong>web</strong><em>Café</em></span> room. </font>To find out about access to these sites, visit the <a href="http://wga.wharton.upenn.edu/">WGA</a> or <a href="http://clubs.wharton.upenn.edu/wcouncil/Home.htm">Wharton Council</a> web sites to find contact information for a person associated with the club.</p>
<p>While some club rooms are open to all full-time MBA students, we don't automatically add exchange students to rooms that are open to full-time MBA students. As with all other issues related to club room membership, you should contact the club directly with questions.</p>
