<![CDATA[<p>Is there a way to download multiple files at once in <STRONG>web</STRONG><EM>Café</EM>?</p><p><span id="bodyfont" style="font-family:Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"><p>Downloading multiple files with one operation can be done if your computer supports either the eRoom plug-in software or the WebDAV protocol <em>(also known as Network Places/Web Folders -- see the bottom of this page for more information)</em>.</p>
<p>The eRoom plug-in is available only for computers running Windows XP or Vista and cannot be used in Wharton's computing labs, only on your personal computer. Illustrated steps for using the eRoom plug-in to download multiple files at once can be found on the <a href="http://webcafe.wharton.upenn.edu/guide/plugin.html" target="_blank">plug-in tutorial page</a>, which also has information about installing and activating the plug-in.</p>
<p>Once you have the plug-in installed and activated, you can copy and paste a file or folder from <strong>web</strong><em>Café</em> to your computer. Make sure you are right-clicking the icon -- rather than the title or filename -- when starting a copy/paste operation:</p>

<p>If you need to get several files without having to drag/drop each one individually, use these steps to check off specific items to copy and paste to your computer:</p>

<li>In a <strong>web</strong><em>Café</em> folder, use the checkboxes shown to the left of each file's icon to check off a group of files. (If checkboxes are not shown, press the <span style="background-color: #cccccc">commands</span> button on the toolbar below the files.)<br />

<li>Next, check the checkbox to the left of each desired file's icon. (If checkboxes are not shown, click the <span style="background-color: #cccccc">commands</span> button on the toolbar below the files.<br />

<li>To select the checked files for copy/paste, press the <span style="background-color: #cccccc">copy</span> button on the toolbar below the files.<br />

<li>Finally, paste the copied files into a My Computer or Windows Explorer window (by right-clicking on the surface of the window and choosing "Paste" from the pop-up menu). You can also use the Edit menu <span style="background-color: #cccccc">Paste</span> command. </li>

<li>Non-file items in <strong>web</strong><em>Café</em>, such as calendar entries or discussion postings, cannot be copied to your computer this way. To save a copy of these items, save the web page you are viewing using your browser, or (for Internet Explorer only) use <a href="http://supportcenteronline.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=658&task=knowledge&questionID=117" target="support">offline reading</a>.<br />

<li>If you are using an office computer, depending on the company's IT policies and security measures, it may not be possible to install the eRoom plug-in. </li>
