<![CDATA[<p>Is <STRONG>web</STRONG><EM>Café</EM> the same thing as eRoom? Why do you call it <STRONG>web</STRONG><EM>Café</EM>?</p><p><P align=left>We've all seen students working on group projects at Wharton, often crammed together around the tables in the school’s cafés or student lounges. This gave us the idea to offer a <STRONG>virtual "café" on the Web</STRONG> where people can collaborate, on their own time, so that fewer in-person meetings are necessary.</P>
<P align=left>Wharton Computing & Information Technology found a product called eRoom (short for "electronic room") that worked well for this purpose. <STRONG>web</STRONG><I>Café</I> is based on the <A href="http://www.documentum.com/solutions/collaboration/">eRoom</A> collaboration solution from <A href="http://www.documentum.com/">Documentum</A> and also incorporates many customizations and enhancements by Wharton Computing & Information Technology. Third-party tools, such as Cogix ViewsFlash survey software, are also integrated into <B>web</B><I>Café</I> for specific applications and needs.</P>
