Can I save a creation or Smilebox sent to me in email?
Yes, you can!
Smilebox now offers you the option to save a Smilebox creation you receive to your own personal computer. You can then access the creation, anytime, online or offline. After you click the Play button on a Smilebox you have received, you will have the option to "Save This Smilebox". When you click the "Save This Smilebox" button (on the lower right), the creation will be saved within the Smilebox program. If you don't have Smilebox, you will be prompted to install the program. Please see the separate articles (How do I install Smilebox on my Mac? or How do I install Smilebox on my PC? for instructions or help with the installation). When the creation is saved, it will open Smilebox and save the creation under the My Creations tab. The new entry will be named the same name as the creation you received in email. From there you can Preview, Edit, Send, or Delete the creation. To close out of the creation options, simply click the X in the upper right corner of the individual creation window. Here are some key notes about the "Save This Smilebox" option: 1. If the recipient has Smilebox open, the "Save This Smilebox" feature will not work properly. You will need to close Smilebox before clicking the "Save This Smilebox" option. 2. The "Save This Smilebox" option is defaulted to ON (enabled) for emailed creations. This means that anyone you send your creation to will have the option to "Save This Smilebox" to their personal computer. You can turn this option off (see #4). 3. The "Save This Smilebox" option is defaulted to OFF (disabled) for blogged/posted creations. This means that anyone viewing your posted creation will not have the option to "Save This Smilebox" to their personal computer. You can turn this option on (see #4). 4. You can change the "Save This Smilebox" options by visiting your Account Page. You can access your account page in one of two ways: click your email address in the upper right corner within Smilebox or click the link: http://secure.smilebox.com/myaccount/account/view. This will take you to the sign in page. Sign in and you will have access to all creations sent under your email address. You can turn this option on or off for individual creations. (This link and the instructions for enabling/disabling the Save Smilebox option will also be included in the blog and/or send confirmation emails that you receive when you send a Smilebox creation.)
