What is Cramster's Honor Code?
Cramster is proud to be a pioneer in the online education community and is dedicated to advancing knowledge, understanding and participation in student success. Through www.Cramster.com (the "website"), students, educators and subject enthusiasts from around the globe participate in a dynamic social learning experience that stands above the rest. The resources we provide — step-by-step homework solutions, a question and answer board, and a place to share study resources — meld to meet the needs of our diverse community. For some that means overcoming math phobia, while for others it creates an environment to hone skills and explore new subjects. We work diligently to prevent misuse, but ultimately, the choice to act with academic honor and integrity is your own! We know that most of you have never and will never abuse the website or any of the information, services or materials available on or through the website. We share your commitment to growing what is surely an exciting online education community. We take this opportunity, then, to highlight our commitment and your own. We require every member to abide by Cramster’s Honor Code. You are not allowed to and agree not to use any of the solutions, answers, materials or information available on or through the website, whether in whole or part, to cheat. Examples include: 1. Submitting any textbook solutions from the Website as your own to any class. 2. Using our questions and answers service to complete tests or homework when instructed not to use outside help. 3. Otherwise passing along any solutions, answers, materials or information from the website as your own. 4. Any other violation of your instructor's or school's academic honor code. We will take swift action against anyone found violating this Honor Code. If anyone is found violating this Honor Code or reasonably believed to have violated this Honor Code, we will terminate their membership and all licenses to use the website, in addition to refunding any membership fee. A message to students: Please keep in mind that Cramster is a community for educators as well as students. A message to educators: As an open forum, we ask for suggestions from students and educators alike. If you would like to offer ways on how we can improve the above efforts, e-mail us at integrity@cramster.com. Last updated: 15 February, 2010
As current and former students, the Cramster.com team understands the pressures and time constraints school creates. That being said, we also know from the unfortunate tales of our peers that the risk you take by violating your school or your professor’s code of academic integrity is not worth the reward. Copying solutions or posting unexplained final answers on the Q&A Board promotes completion without comprehension, and that’s something we don’t support on this site.
We are always seeking opportunities to work with educators in making Cramster a valuable resource for both you and your classroom for years to come. If you need to contact us concerning an issue of academic integrity, please e-mail us here.
