The ANGEL 7.4 Change Management Documentation is intended to make the transition from previous versions of the ANGEL LMS to ANGEL 7.4 as smooth as possible. Upgrading an enterprise application successfully while minimizing the disruption to users requires a great deal of planning, preparation, and communication to be successful. These documents give guidance and best practices on how to plan your upgrade, details about the pending changes, and suggested communications to make to your faculty and students. The ANGEL 7.4 Change Management package includes the following documents:
- ANGEL Upgrade Guide – This document gives best practice information about how to evaluate, plan, and execute a successful upgrade. It uses concepts that were introduced during ANGEL implementation, and applies them to a version upgrade.
- ANGEL 7.4 Upgrade Supplement – This guide describes the feature and technical changes that have been implemented in ANGEL 7.4. It reviews policy decisions that need to be made, as well as containing text that can be copied and pasted into communications to your faculty and students.
- ANGEL 7.4 What’s New PowerPoint – This PowerPoint presentation contains slides on all of the new features in ANGEL 7.4, as well as speaking notes to help you present the new features to your instructors, helpdesk or students.
- Upgrade Change Management Project Template – This spreadsheet lists some of the major tasks, and can be used to build a robust project plan.
